Crossing from Porto Kagjo to Kythera was our first encounter with the Meltemi

To the left the Town and Citadel of Kythira - note how straight out flags are!

The Greek and Venetians had a very good hand in selecting harbours. The Mountain Range behind provides excellent Protection - there was no Wind in the Harbour and at the Beach

ree

On Top of the Venetian Citadel it was very windy again - watch the Greek Flag!

ree

These mighty Walls were never breached

ree

The Church Tower and Design look distinctively Venetian!

ree

But it is now an Orthodox Church

View from the Citadel to the old Harbour and the Carpe Diem
